Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. Her father left his family at a young age. Brink was 14 when she got pregnant and was forced to quit the high school she attended. To support her family, she moved in with her son Davion after the birth. Brink was in her first band Pulse from Albany in New York. They played mostly local shows with bands like Coal Chamber & Sevendust. Later, the members of the band split up. Following the move to Los Angeles from California at 25 years old, Brink moved there in 2002. When she was looking for a band Brink was working in shops as well as in cafes and in bars. She met Chris Howorth, the band's current member, at a music audition one year later. Howorth did not like her performance because she was female. Howorth changed his mind when he heard her sing. Dying Stars were the name they used to describe their group, and they were also a part of with drummer Jeff Fabb. In the following years the guitarist Blake Bunzel joined the band along with bassist Josh Newell. In This Moment changed their name only after two performances.
